La Salle College High School captured the PCL title on Monday, May 6, verses Roman Catholic High School. This is the second year in a row for the Explorers and they were able to achieve this title by crushing their opponents 15-5.

This was the Explorers 12th win in a row since their loss against Gilman and Episcopal and they were not willing to back down now. La Salle came out hard, leading 7-1 in the first 14 minutes of the first quarter. Trent Melsheimer got out in front with the first goal of the game. The goals continued to climb before the end of the half with the Explorers now ahead 11-2. As the game continued, the squad finished out strong and snatched the victory. Other key players that contributed goals include: Travis Miller, Sean Coleman, Michael Rihm, Mitch Soufleris, Aiden Kerrigan, Adam Schaal and Jeff Cimbalista.

La Salle’s next game is today, May 9, against Radnor. It will be a tough battle but the team continues to fight for one goal, the state championship.
